Heat Utilities allows the user to format, partition and optimize Firewire® (1394) hard drives. Heat Utilities is a highly efficient driver that controls the firewire hard drive better than the factory supplied driver (if any).

Most users notice improved FireWire performance using Heat Utilities in replacement of the original driver or MacOS supplied driver.

Heat Utilities contains optimization to defragment and optimize files on the Firewire drive as well as a feature to manage & create multiple partitions on the firewire drive.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

Heat Utilities works with Firewire Hard Drives only. It does not work with CDRW's, tape drives, digital cameras or scanners.

Heat Utilities requires a Firewire-enabled Apple Macintosh with a hard drive attached to an available Firewire port and MacOS™ 8.6 thru 9.2.x.

Heat Utilities is not compatible with MacOS X or Windows.
